| Synchronous parotid and nasopharyngeal Warthin tumor Aug 28th 2015, 15:24, by Madgar Ory, Alon Eran Abstract BackgroundWarthin tumor is the second most common benign salivary gland neoplasm after pleomorphic adenoma. Warthin tumors occur almost exclusively in the parotid gland and periparotid lymph nodes, extraparotid localization is rare. Methods and ResultsWe describe a case of a patient presenting with a synchronous unilateral parotid gland and nasopharyngeal Warthin tumor. ConclusionWe propose that, although this occurrence of a synchronous parotid gland and nasopharyngeal Warthin tumor may be coincidental, it is more likely to be an effect of a systemic factor. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
