Sagittal palatal fractures are rare, the incidence ranging from 4% to 42%. They are usually found in association with LeFort fractures and split the maxilla in a sagittal direction, which usually results in oronasal communication and buccal rotation of the fractured segments.1 Numerous techniques for their management have been described, including closed reduction and open reduction with internal fixation (ORIF).
