Re: Effectiveness of irrigation with chlorhexidine after removal of mandibular third molars: a randomised controlled trial

We read with interest the recent study by Cho et al1 because it is our policy to irrigate extraction sockets with saline to avoid the risk of chlorhexidine-related hypersensitivity. We think that this practice is mirrored throughout UK dental institutions.
