Frenectomies in pre-term babies: the complications

Aim: Tongue-tie babies often present with a range of functional difficulties. Studies show frenectomies on these newborns present with 0% complications. Premature babies are more susceptible to septicaemia due to the virulent micro flora in the oral cavity. We aim to explore the rate of complications following frenectomies performed on our preterm babies
