Ewing's sarcoma (ES) is the second most common primary bone tumor in children and adolescents after osteosarcoma, initially described by Ewing in 1921 as an undifferentiated tumor involving the diaphysis of long bones that, unlike osteosarcoma, was radiation sensitive (Thorn et al. 2016).
