An osteo-odontokeratoprosthesis is an autograft that replaces the cornea with a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) optical cylinder mounted on a tooth-bone-periodontal complex. The procedure, which was first described in 1963 by Strampelli1 and modified by Falcinelli et al about 10years later,2 is the treatment of choice for conditions such as Stevens–Johnson syndrome, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, multiple failed grafts, or chemical burns.
