Abstract
A 56 year-old man presented to our Hidradenitis Clinic with an exophytic, bovine-red, ulcerated plaque in the left axillae (figure 1). He reported that he was diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa when this lesion first appeared 8 years ago, as a single small, occasionally purulent, nodule, that had enlarged considerably over the past 7 months. He had previously received oral and topical antibiotics with no improvement.
