We read with great attention the recently published article by Patil et al. titled "A randomized control trial measuring the effectiveness of a mouth-exercising device for mucosal burning in oral submucous fibrosis." We would like to congratulate the authors for their original study, as there are no published case series that have used a non-tooth borne appliance as a physiotherapeutic intervention for oral submucous fibrosis for mucosal burning. However, we had a few queries and would appreciate if the authors could provide further clarification
