Abstract
Poor cosmetic outcome is associated with significant negative impact on quality of life (QOL).1 The degree of psychosocial distress may be more correlated with patient perception rather than objective scar severity. The patient's personal assessment is the primary influence on psychosocial morbidity.1 Therefore, patient-reported outcome (PRO) instruments are valuable in assessing cosmetic outcome and impact on QOL.
