Psoriasis and latitude: Analytic approaches and future data needs

To the Editor: We thank Gutierrez et al1 for their comments on our analysis examining the relationship between psoriasis prevalence and latitude.2 As with any study, the availability and reliability of data is of core importance, and as we noted originally, this was a key limitation of this analysis. Similarly, when there is an inadequate dataset available, analyses may be underpowered and miss a statistically relevant finding. That said, we believe our statistical methods using correlation were more appropriate for 2 key reasons.
