Clinical report of 7 cases of iatrogenic renal artery bleeding by ethanol-gelatin sponge embolism

Abstract: Objective To study the efficacy and safety of ethanol-gelatin sponge embolism on iatrogenic renal artery bleeding. Methods Right femoral artery was percutaneous punctured by Seldingger method,each conventional angiography examination was completed,super selective insert proximal renal bleeding blood vessels,using prepared ethanol-gelatin sponge embolism. Results Seven patients were all successfully embolized,there was no naked eye hematuria for 3-6 months follow-up,the renal function was normal,there were no obvious complications. Conclusion Ethanol-iatrogenic gelatin sponge for embolism of arteriovenous fistula in renal artery hemorrhage is safe and effective.
